Chapter History
Alpha Sigma Kappa- Women in Technical Studies Zeta Chapter began as an
interest group in Spring 2003. UMBC's AΣK colony was formed on November 22,
2003 by our 11 founding members.
On March 5th, 2005 we became the Zeta Active Chapter of Alpha Sigma Kappa-Women in Technical Studies. Currently, the Zeta Chapter is the newest Active Chapter nationally. AΣK Zeta also acts as the point of contact for any East Coast Interest Groups, as we are the only Chapter on the East Coast.
