Chapter History
Alpha Sigma Kappa- Women in Technical Studies Zeta Chapter began as an interest group in Spring 2003. UMBC's AΣK colony was formed on November 22, 2003 by our 11 founding members.
On March 5th, 2005 we became the Zeta Active Chapter of Alpha Sigma Kappa-Women in Technical Studies. Currently, the Zeta Chapter is the newest Active Chapter nationally. AΣK Zeta also acts as the point of contact for any East Coast Interest Groups, as we are the only Chapter on the East Coast.
During the 2009-2010 school year, the Zeta Chapter finally joined UMBC's Panhellenic Association. As part of the university's PHA, we have gained more recognition on campus and have become significantly more involved with Greek Life and the other Greek organizations.
Our Zeta Chapter of Alpha Sigma Kappa-Women in Technical Studies is still very young. Each semester brings new experiences and new people as our chapter continues to grow. Our history is still in the making, wouldn't you like to become a part of it?
